Goodbye Snowball
March 31, 1991 - September 15, 2008

Princess Twinkletoes aka Snowball Maki was a miniature American Eskimo
who picked her mom from the passersby of a a pet store in Texas back in 1991.
She was the most devoted and loyal girl who was with Amy through thick
and thin, good and bad, bad and worse, and was the most "purrrfect"
companion a gal could ask for. She got attention wherever she went
as her fur was the whitest of white (from Amy's diligent care) and her
breed is so rarely seen. She was a very spunky girl who was very
protective of her mom and her house. She loved to take long walks
with Amy and didn't mind getting her paws washed every time they came
home. She had always been a very healthy girl, which is why her
quick passing has been such a complete shock to all of us.
Less than a month ago (August 2008) she somehow injured her shoulder and was put on
some medications that lessened her appetite. From then on it was a
struggle to get her to eat and then drink. The vet said she had
arthritis in her spine and tried several different drugs/supplements to
help her. Amy did everything she possibly could do. She had
to give her IV fluids but it seemed like Snowball had given up.
She died peacefully at home on Monday the 15th of September, 2008.
Our hearts are breaking for Amy who is lost without her girl. Her
baby for 17 1/2 years. Her loyal companion and her constant
friend.
We'll miss you Snowball.
