Merry Christmas! - Millen has been a good girl this year and she hopes Santa will bring her something special.  She got to sit with Santa and (try to) pose for a nice picture at the Lexington Petsmart.  She had a fun day as there were many other doggies roaming around doing some shopping and socializing.  She met one dog that was unique - a Russian Borzoi named Karina who has recently moved here from Connecticut.  While we were there, a young gal pointed out that Millen "had blood in her mouth" while she was getting her picture taken.  It took us quite a while to get Mills to hold still and get a good look.  It was some red fuzz from a toy she had been shredding the previous night!  Silly girl!

Happy 5th Birthday!! - Millen had an fun birthday that began with a ride in the car to Aiken, which she was very excited about.  Next stop was her favorite kennel, Powderhouse Pet Resort, for daycare and a swim in the pool.  I ran to Aiken's Makin for a few hours, then I stopped at Bone-i-Fide Bakery to pick up some more doggie cookies and her birthday cake (shown above).  When I picked her up for the drive home, she was super excited and obviously had enjoyed herself at the pool.  After a nap at home, Chris and I took her for a walk in the evening and she got to sniff her neighbor-doggie Zeke.  I gave her some bites of her birthday cake, which she loved, and then it was off to doggie dreamland.
